Hi Stephanie I bought your book on Amazon and it is extremely helpful. I’ve been playing pipes for nearly 60 years now and while retired from competitive band and solo piping, I always look for ways to improve my playing. A never ending process, right? I have incorporated many of your suggestions into my practice routine emphasizing many of those little things that have always given me trouble (birls, tricky parts of tunes that I tended to slide over, etc). Of course, it’s a slow process (no pun intended), but I’m quite happy with the way things are progressing. I am an active piping judge now and one of my missions in doing this is to help people improve. One thing I don’t do is tell people how to spend their money, but your book is an exception to this rule. I have mentioned it to a number of people and will continue to do so. Thanks so much for writing it; your book has made my practice routine and playing so much more enjoyable. The challenge to get better is actually fun now.
